What is Veda doing?

Read the full version

On 3 December 2007 the Insolvency and Trustee Service goes live with the new website to show NAPs and SIOs. Veda Advantage will be ready to start providing their Clients with any new NAPs and SIO information captured on the Insolvency register.  Veda has a two phased approach to ensure customers receive the most up to date Insolvency information available.

Deliverables for each of the 2 phases are set out below:

Phase 1

Veda has adapted its Public Notice loading facility in order to manually load the NAPs and SIOs that appear on the ITS website from 3 December 2007.

  • For our Web and Operator Assisted users this information will be displayed in a new Insolvency Information segment.
  • For our VedaLink and VedaXML channel users the NAPs will display in the Public Notice segment.  SIOs are not Public Notices and therefore will not be displayed in this segment.

Once Phase 1 is implemented there will be no change to how web users view the additional Insolvency Information.

Below are examples of each delivery channel and what it will look like.

Web Users

If you are a web user the new Insolvency information will display under a new segment heading ‘Insolvency Information’. The Bankruptcy segment has been removed and any Bankruptcies will be displayed under this new heading.

The Insolvency information will appear in the following way:

''

The Summary box will now include “Insolvency Information” with the count of any NAPs, SIOs and Bankruptcies

 ''

The body of the Consumer Credit Report will include the above NAP and SIO information and Bankruptcy information will also be displayed here.

Operator Assisted Clients

If you are an Operator Assisted client and use the services of our Call Centre to process your Consumer Credit Inquiries, the new Insolvency information will appear in the following way.

''

The Summary box will now include “Insolvency Information” with the count of any NAPs, SIOs and Bankruptcies.

''

The body of the Consumer Credit Report will include the above NAP and SIO information. Bankruptcy information will also be displayed here.

VedaLink Clients

If you have used VedaLink (previously BayLink) to build an interface directly to Veda then the new NAPs Insolvency information will be displayed to you in the Public Notice segment.

There should be no technical changes required.

VedaXML Clients

If you have used VedaXML (previously B2Bay) to build an interface directly to Veda then the new NAPs Insolvency information will be displayed to you in the Public Notice segment.

There should be no technical changes required.

Phase 2 - Web Service Link

Once the Web Service Link is built by the Insolvency and Trustee Service (end of first quarter 2008), Veda will deliver to its VedaLink and VedaXML clients new Technical specs.  The technical specs will include information to allow its clients to build a new Insolvency Information segment/element along with NAP and SIO data information.

The Bankruptcy segment/element will become obsolete and this information will be included in the Insolvency Information segment/element.  However until you are ready to make the changes Veda will continue to send you a Bankruptcy segment/element and the NAP will be included in the Public Notice segment/element.
