Andrew King and Helen Marriott will present a political update for property investors in New Zealand.

 

Profile for Andrew King

  • Purchased his first home plus an investment property by the age of 24.
  • Completed a Diploma in Business Studies at Massey University, developing an interest in Strategic Business Planning and believes all Property Investors should develop their own Property Business Plan.
  • Founded Residential Property Investor Magazine in 1996, which he later sold in 2002.
  • Has written two books on residential investment property, both becoming National Best Sellers. 
  • Board Member of the Auckland Property Investors Association from 1997 to 2008, being President for eight of those years. Rejoined the Board in 2011 and is a current member.
  • Vice President of the New Zealand Property Investors’ Federation since 2005, elected President in 2011 and appointed Executive Officer in November 2013.
  • Has frequently appeared on television programs and documentaries and is often sought by radio stations and newspapers to share his knowledge on property investment matters.
  • Bought a cabin hire business called RoomMate Cabins in 2009 and now rents out just under 200 cabins.

 

 

Andrew is a property investor and has been active in the industry for nearly 20 years.

He founded Residential Property Investor Magazine. He has written two books on property investment, both National Best Sellers. 

He was President of the Auckland Property Investors Association and the National body before being appointed Executive Officer in 2013.

Profile for Helen Marriott

  • Central Representative at New Zealand Property Investors Federation.

Helen has been successfully managing properties in the Taranaki region since 2007 with her company House4Rent.

Her philosophy on property management is to be professional, friendly and approachable. She enjoys helping tenants find homes, and for property owners to maximise the return on their investment.  She has recently changed her business so they can provide a more personalised service – tenants and property owners deal directly with Helen.

Helen enjoys giving back to the community via Lions, Taranaki community emergency response team, volunteering for the TSB showplace, and has been a member of the Taranaki Property Investors Association for 6 ½ years. Helen has been the Treasurer for the same length of time. She is also a member of two Business Networking International chapters and a member of Chamber of Commerce.
