  • Members Meetings
    Wellington Property Investors' Association has speakers based on topics of interest raised from previous meetings, and delivered by keynote speakers with experience and expertise. Starting from February 2021 our new monthly meetings will be held on the second Tuesday of each month. We are working through a suitable venue to host the increased membership (suggestions welcome!) Join us on June 24 2019 for our AGM followed by Chris Dugdale who will be speaking on " A Passion for Property, Projects and People". Our June meeting and AGM will be at Meridian Energy Ltd Wellington Office, Meridian Energy Building, Level 2, 33 Customhouse Quay, Queen's Wharf, Wellington 6011.
Chris and Warwick Dugdale could be relaxing into retirement but instead the community-minded couple and a team of volunteers have spent months getting six new houses ready for sale to raise money for charity.
The couple founded the Dugdale Charitable Trust in 2012 and have already built and sold six houses in the Wairarapa, using their own money to fund the start-up costs.
Their philanthropy has boosted the coffers of Wellington rescue helicopter Life Flight, Ronald McDonald House, Plunket and Wairarapa Hospice.

Claire Leadbetter, Manager Tenancy & Rental Housing Quality at Ministry of Housing & Urban Development takes us through the Healthy Homes Standards:
The detailed regulations will be finalised in the next few months, and then guidance and tools will be available to help rental property owners and industry professionals meet the new standards.
From 1 July 2021, private landlords must ensure that their rental properties comply with the standards within 90 days of any new tenancy.
Boarding houses must comply with all of the standards by 1 July 2021.
Housing New Zealand and Registered Community Housing Providers have until 1 July 2023 to ensure all their properties comply.
All rental properties in New Zealand must meet the Healthy Homes Standards by 1 July 2024.
